Looking at the temperature gadget showed that it was 59 degrees outside and raining... heh... don't think so... I guess I should reset it from Redmond, WA. Must have been a Microsoft thing.

It works!

I don't have to log in. Now to see if it logs me out of Google Personalized home. :)

I came here to say though that 'Basica' would be a neat name for a girl... Heh

They got tired

Heh... what a website! Must have taken awhile to design or they got tired.

Digg / News, Blogger and Google Personal Home Page

Some more frustrations: Why doesn't Digg keep me logged in? I'm sure it's something on my end. And why do I have to keep signing in to Blogger and then when I go back to Google it wants’ my user/pass to login again?

PGP

Current frustration...

Can't figure out why/how to set up PGP to work like it did on my old computer. And why did it have to be so hard to figure out that really the version that supposedly costs you money is the one you want because the trial only part of it works just fine for what I need... or maybe that is why I can't get it to work.

Also I'm frustrated because I don't update here more, on xanga or my journal.

CoLab

What is CoLab?

CoLab's vision is to facilitate collaboration with individuals around the world. We are going to do something about it (not just talk)! We are particularly interested in pioneering the area's of business, government and crime. And most of all we want to keep it simple. A lot of people are talking about ways to collaborate but when it comes down to the masses there aren't many ideas affecting us. We want to take these concepts and bring them down to earth in ways we all can benefit to the fullest.

Why?

Because it's time! Look at
Wikipedia, craigslist, eBay, Linux, Open Office, DARPA Grand Challenge, Procter & Gamble, MIT OpenCourseWare, InnoCentive, Paint.NET, Joomla and Goldcorp. What we see in today's world are trends that are reshaping how we do business, learn, live, work and play? It's all coming to the point of collaborating and working together to create something of more value.

Amazing man with a amazing ministry

Brother Kent Hovind is quite a man with quite a testimony! Check it out!

Inspired

I'm inspired at the moment. Maybe it was devotions. Or maybe it was because God is working in my life. Either way I want to give God the glory for the great things he has done! God will make a way, God cares and God is in control! He'll make a way somehow! He'll lead us somehow! God is good!

Consistency

I should be more consistent either here, on xanga or in my journal. But I'm not... so...

Wikipedia tool

Ok, this is so far the best little tool that I've found for what I do with Wikipedia! This was such a nightmare before...

Scam emails in response to a craigslist ad

So I got this scam email in response to a craigslist ad. These people are do dumb. I normally don't lead people on but this one I feel like doing. ;)

Modesty Survey

This is a rather interesting survey that was done just recently about modesty and what guys think of it all. www.therebelution.com/modestysurvey

Biggest annoyance... losing your post! :( Second, scroll wheel doesn't work again. Third, not getting enough work done today.

Article about the ODP

I was doing a bit of searching for my internet name and found this interesting article from sometime way back.

Journal

Sometimes I wonder if I should put these in my journal or not. But I figure if the internet loses all this information I probably won't need it anyway at that point so what's the point. I'll keep my journal for my personal thoughts then I guess.

What are we pursuing?

There were 2 million people that were supposed to be going to the promised land wandering around in the wilderness for 40 years. During that time what were they really doing? Did they have goals? Were the getting more things or were they just walking around having a camping trip? I wonder. In some ways it seems it would have been simpler living in a situation like that without the feeling of needing to obtain a lot of things to live and survive. Then again, maybe they did do that too.

Years ago I used to run the sound and screen all at the same time every once in awhile. About 6 months ago I ran it on a Sunday night all by myself and it wasn't too bad. So I was kind of thinking... this shouldn't be too hard... but I kind of forgot that it was a Sunday morning and it was Easter.... lol

But other then running it 6 months ago it has been probably a couple of years since I've done it by myself.

With me I have different levels of adrenaline when doing things. Most services aren't more then a 2 or 3. The first night of HITD was a solid 10 with a few moments hitting an 11 or 12 (note that this is a scale from 1-10 :) ). This morning peaked to a good 8 or 9

Wednesday night was about an 8 too.

I was walking into church this morning (a bit late) and thinking to myself... why are so many people here and why are so many people here that aren't usually here... and then it hit me... oh yeah it's Easter... Easter.. what?! I'm the only guy going to be in the sound booth so far, unless I find someone (Chris was teaching Sunday school, Mark is in Japan, Austin's at camp), so I'm thinking oh boy... this could get interesting. So then I get thrown a ton of things to do before service starts... it was crazy...

I ended up getting two young guys that we've been training some but the one has never been on FOH (audio mixer) and the other boy didn't have much training at all... but amazingly between the two of them and me doing computer and helping them out we had good sound, every song special had mics for the singers (didn't happen like that on Wednesday night) and I had all the scriptures and quotes ready in time to use them... I don't think I've been giving a larger stack of scriptures and quotes then I did this morning. And Austin not being here he does a ton of things... like setting up the camera, making the copies of the prayer lists and all... it was rather crazy.

So that was my morning

Scroll wheel works now

Ok, so for 2 weeks I have put up with that scroll wheel not working. I then post about it on here, didn't update anything, didn't change anything, haven't even tried to figure out what is wrong for the last week or so and now it's working just fine. Strange! I didn't change a thing!

Now if only Rhapsody would let me log in.

Scroll wheel won't work - Belkin mouse

Current frustration: Mouse wheel won't work in all applications.
Notepad: not at all
Outlook: only wants to scroll up even if scrolling down. Once you are back at the top of the page nothing happens.

Vista with a Belkin wireless mouse.

Ready to go again

After a sandwich, some exercice, a nap and a good size jar of water I'm ready to go again! :)

Does anyone really type out by hand CSS?

Do they really do this? If so I'd love to see it! They must be super amazing! :D

Spirint Broadband

Work got me the Sprint Broadband (USB one) and so far I've been really happy with it. Today Wi-Fi here at the office has been giving me problems so I just plugged that in and I can hardly tell the difference. I can even stream Rhapsody content while I'm uploading files via FTP and surfing the web. I'm happy so far. Minus the fact they charged me an extra $50 for the USB version over the PCI card. This laptop doesn't have a PCI slot.

Been awhile since I posted

Well it's been awhile since I've posted here. I've got an xanga account that I post to quite a bit. But I've decided I'm going to start using this one too. Xanga is more for my close friends. This one will be more to the world from now on. Random ramblings I guess.
